The Maximo Macanas Water & Wildlife Safety Foundation is dedicated to helping individuals and families recognize and respond to risks in water and wildlife environments before they become emergencies.
The Maximo Macanas Water & Wildlife Safety Foundation was established in memory of Maximo Macanas, a Humboldt wildlife biologist whose life reflected a deep respect for all wildlife and the environment.
Through education, awareness and real-world experiences we work to prevent accidents and save lives.
Many tragedies occur not because danger is ignored, but because it is not recognized.
